I felt like playing some Kingdom Hearts today, but sadly, it looks as if my disk is too scratched up to start the game x_x. Afterwards using google, a lot of hits came upwardly on Enquire Yahoo on how to prepare PS2 disks.

My favorites then far are:

This is going to sound very odd, just put information technology in the toilet with naught in the toilet but water and pull down on the flusher. Information technology won't go down the toilet, I promise. When information technology'southward suctioned down where there'south the hole inside the toilet bowl, take information technology out, wipe it off gently with a tissue and the scratches should be gone.

for my really onetime scratched up ps1 games i used wood cleaner (like pino sol) on them. only spray information technology on there - let it set for a few seconds so wipe it off really well. it should work for a while, you may have to repeat the process afterward.

Y'all can use toothpaste! Toothpaste is a balmy abrassive, and will clean cd's rather nicely. I'm providing a linky to a video with pace-past-step instructions on how to do this

And I actually can't tell if they're trolling, stupid, are geniuses beyond my comprehension.

Anybody know of a decent method to fix up one-time PS2 disks?

First is definitely trolling, not certain well-nigh the second, simply I do know you lot tin can employ tooth paste (the all white kind - that's important) to remove light scratches. Information technology is going to depend on how bad the disc is if information technology'south going to fully gear up the game.

Another random use for tooth paste is to vitrify out the oxidation on automobile headlights. Works pretty well if you lot don't have whatsoever of the specialty stuff from an car parts store.

White toothpaste works well for scratches I find. I used it ofttimes for DVD's that would keep skipping and they worked fine after

should you ever have a bluish bottom disc and it won't read in a behemothic ps2, yous tin put 3 or 4 2 inch (or so) piecs of tape right around the center pigsty...basically, the blue discs are lighter and the rubber spinner has grit on it, then weighing them down only a hare with the record adds friction and allows them to spin at the right speed

You lot tin can also use a CD/DVD repair kit that lightly shaves the disc. Commonly comes with a spray bottle, wipe rag and the device that "grinds" as yous spin the handle. It smooths out the surface and so yous can follow up with the toothpaste. I had to do this when my kids got hold of some discs many years ago. I'g sure glad that this doesn't happen with blu-ray discs.

Practice not wipe in circles. smoothen the scratched discs with vaseline, Windex, peanut oil or baking soda toothpaste to smooth the surface.

Open up a lamp with a lx watt bulb, and hold discs nearly iv inches in front of lamp for most xx seconds or it will harm data surface of discs cheers, promise it is useful for PS2 disc likewise
